Laboratory Services

BDN offers analysis for the presence of asbestos in building materials and air samples in our Portage, Michigan facility.

Our microscopists have 25+ years of experience in analysis of asbestos bulk samples and are active in AIHA Proficiency Analytical Testing (PAT) program for quality control.

Building materials intended for submission for analysis should be placed in plastic bags and submitted with a completed Bulk Chain of Custody form.

Samples delivered to the BDN Portage facility can expect the following terms:

• Standard turnaround  (up to 5-business-day)
  $20 per sample
• One-business-day fastest turnaround
  $40 per sample

Please note that certain samples composed of layers, such as floor tile with mastic or ceiling tile with glue pods, will be treated as two materials sampled and will be charged for as two samples.

• Air samples may expect one-day turnaround and cost.  Please complete an Air Analysis Chain of Custody and submit with your sample.
  $20 per cassette
