COURSE DURATION: 120 minutes
OVERVIEW: Employers are required
to develop and implement Hazardous Waste
Operations (HAZWOPER) training to inform
workers (including contractors and
subcontractors) performing hazardous
waste operations to the level and degree
of exposure they are likely to
encounter. Training must be conducted
initially and annually thereafter.
AUDIENCE: All employees who are
exposed to hazardous substances, health
hazards, or safety hazards and their
supervisors and management responsible
for the site shall receive training to
meet the requirements of the annual
HAZWOPER 8-hour refresher course.
PREREQUISITES: This module is
designed so that no prior knowledge is
required.
